Easy Quest Peanut Butter Protein Balls

I’m always making attempts to be healthy, but some are more successful than others. Whenever I’m riding the healthy train, snacks are key for me. I need at least two snacks throughout the day – one in the morning, one between lunch and supper. For the morning snack, I usually do some sort of Greek yogurt/protein smoothie with fruit and then something more savory in the afternoon. Well, I mixed it up this week because I was craving protein balls.

A few weeks ago, I got my hands on some Quest peanut butter protein powder. What I love about Quest is its ability to use its health products in delicious ways so we can all still indulge in our favorite desserts. I mean, my Quest protein container came with a mini booklet with protein-packed dessert recipes, so you get the picture.

Now, I won’t lie to you guys I made this recipe up as I went and didn’t measure every ingredient exactly. I’ve never been good at that. So here is my best estimate for these delicious snack protein balls.

Here’s what you’ll need:

3 TBS Honey (I used organic Great Value brand)

1 ½ Cups Rolled Oats

2 Scoops Quest Peanut Butter Protein Powder (about half a cup)

½ Cup Creamy Peanut Butter (I used Jif Natural – my all-time favorite peanut butter)

1 TBS Chia Seeds

Splash of milk

I tossed all of this into a bowl and got right in there with my hands. After I spent a minute mixing everything up, I poured in just a splash of milk to help it stick together. Then came the rolling. I had no idea how many balls this recipe was going to make, but I was hoping for 15 because I wanted three for each work day of the upcoming week. I don’t know how it happened, but I got exactly 15perfectly sized protein balls.

According to Trevor, this snack basically tastes like peanut butter no bakes, which means you are missing out if you don’t have these in your meal plan. I made them on a Sunday afternoon in about 10 minutes and then stored them in baggies in the fridge. Enjoy, everyone, weekday snacks will never be the same.
