Four Dessert Options for Your Next Party
Every time I host an event or am responsible for bringing a treat to a gathering, I always want to knock it out of the park. I want people to just love what I bring and ask me how to make it (or where I bought it).
What you bring depends on how formal the event, but the list below includes a few of my go to items and some of my favorite flavors.
The Casual Gathering That Calls for A Casual Snack
Chocolate covered pretzels are one of my absolute favorite party snacks! They are so simple and bring together the salty and sweet flavors that I’m usually looking for. These are one of my biggest go-to treats for the holidays. Showing up at my Dad’s house with a big tin of chocolate covered pretzels (or chocolate covered Ritz crackers to mix it up) always makes everyone happy.
If you want to get fancy you can drizzle a different color chocolate over the top or partially dip them. Of course there are always sprinkles as well!
Pot Lucks In Need of a Dessert
I came across this dessert a few years ago when I was meeting Trevor’s friends for the first time and we were grilling out. I was responsible for bringing a dessert and I wanted to make a fabulous first impression. I love banana cream pie, so when I found a version that included cool whip and cream cheese I needed no further convincing.
This banana wafer pudding has proved to be a MAJOR crowd pleaser, so if you like bananas I highly recommend.
The Special Event You’ve Been Planning for Months
Make it yourself options are great, but sometimes you really want something special. Maybe your baking skills aren’t the best, you don’t have the time, or you just don’t have the skill set to create the dessert that you’re envisioning. Well, I have a solution for you. A cookie company called Crumbs Custom Cookies out of Bakersfield, California. It’s run by a woman named Ashley, and she makes probably the most beautiful and unique cookies I have ever seen.
Whatever the theme is for your get together or party – birthday, anniversary, graduation, bridal shower – anything, Crumbs can make some AMAZING cookies that no one will want to eat because they’re so beautiful. The best part is that they ship nationwide, so don’t sweat your location. These cookies are something really special and I know they’ll be the highlight of your next celebration!
The Backyard BBQ
To me, lemon is a signature summer flavor. It’s even better when it’s accented by some kind of berry. In this case, raspberries. These bars are melt in your mouth delicious and super easy to make.
Everyone will be relieved and their mouths will be watering when they see you walk in to the backyard with this dessert, I promise.
Whatever flavors you prefer or whatever your baking skills are, there will always be great tasting options to surprise your guests with. Even if you decide to buy instead of bake, at least you’re guaranteed something tasty and beautiful!
Thank you to Crumbs Custom Cookies for partnering with me on this post!
